The Story Behind the Fragrance-
Growing up, our home was framed by blooming azaleas, with a single magnolia tree standing proudly in the yard. It was planted in 1968, the year my parents married and bought their first home--a gift from my grandparents to celebrate the beginning of their life together. Over the years, that little tree grew alongside our family, becoming as much a part of home as the memories we made there.
My grandmother shared my mother's love of gardening. Her yard was a beautiful tapestry of roses, gardenias, azaleas, hydrangeas, peonies, and magnificent magnolia trees. Walking through her garden, the sweet fragrance of magnolia blossoms would drift through the warm Southern air, creating a feeling of peace that has stayed with me ever since.
Today, that magnolia tree still stands at my childhood home, taller and more majestic than I ever remember. Every spring, it's blooms remind me that some of the deepest roots we have aren't just planted in the ground--they're planted in the people who teach us to find beauty in the world around us.
